Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is one of the long-running family Indian-Hindi TV shows on Star Plus that premiered in Jan 2009. This drama is also known as YRKKH which has crossed the milestone of 5200 plus episodes with great success. The plot of the drama revolves around the twisted and overlapping love and family stories of four generations. It is one of the long-running Indian TV soap operas under the production of Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut Production. Initially, Hina Khan, Shivangi Joshi, Karan Mehra, Mohsin Khan, Harshad Chopda, and Pranali Rathod were the leading cast. From Nov 2023, Shehzada Dhami and Samridhii Shukla are the star cast as the fourth generation of the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai serial.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Plot and Storylines – Written Update

Naitik and Akshara are two innocent and gentle persons who live in Udaipur and get married. At the start, they face some problems while understanding each other. But soon they fall in love with each other. Akshara gives birth to a baby boy Naksh, but Naitik falls into a coma after an accident, Akshara takes charge of the family business. After four years, when Naitik awakes, he faces compatibility challenges with his son Naksh. Naitik and Akshara welcome their second child Naira. Kaveri blames Akshara for the death of Mahendra. After this, Naitik moves to Cape Town with her family. After 10 years, Naksh comes back and reunites the whole family.

Naira misunderstands her mother and starts to live in an orphanage. She marries Kartik. And Akshara dies by falling from a cliff. Naira gets separated from Kartik on the basis of a small conflict. Naira gives birth to a baby girl. Kartik tries to reconcile with Naira, but she dies off by slipping from a cliff. Kartik marries Sirat, a lookalike to Naira, but Kartik dies in a plane crash.

After twenty years, Naira and Kartik’s daughter Akshara is a singer, who marries Dr. Abhimanyu. After a ot of tradegies with the death of Abhimanyu, Abhir, and Abhinav, Akshara lives with her daughter Abhira. Armaan and Ruhi love each other. Abhira is stalked by Yuvraaj. Poddar family harasses Abhira and creates trouble for her education. Time goes on, Akshara sacrifices to save Abhira, and the story becomes repeated and overlapping from the first generation.
