Doree is a fictional Hindi TV serial based on the social issue of girl child abandonment on Colors TV and JioCinema from Nov 2023. This is one of the latest productions of Jay Mehta with the story theme of Shashwan Rai and Lakshmi Jayakumar. The word Doree comes with the meaning of ”Chord”, which tells the narration and life of a six-year-old girl. Rishton Ki Yeh… Doree Hai is the opening and closing theme of this top desi TV serial. It has crossed 140+ episodes with utmost success. This classy Hindi drama serial highlights the issue of girl-child abandonment which is a common practice in underdeveloped regions.

Sudha Chandran, Mahi Bhanushali, Amar Upadhyay, and Toral Rasputra are the star cast of this top desi TV serial. This is the narration of Mahendra Thakur and his family, He has two wives Rukmani and Kailashi, and both are twin sisters. Thakur family is not willing to accept the birth of a girl child, so when Manasi gives birth to a baby girl. Her husband Anand tries to snatch this baby under the influence of his mother. He gives this baby to the driver to bring her away from the Thakur family.

On the other hand, Ganga Prasad who is the actual son of Kailashi and Mehandra lives in a village in very poor condition. No one is familiar with his background, and no one is willing to tie the knot with their daughters with him, as he has been a single man since a young age. The driver puts the child in a basket and leaves it in a river. Ganga sees this basket and carries the baby out. There, he tries to find her family by putting the basket on the stairs of the temple. But no one comes to claim this baby. So Ganga decides to take her with him.
